Afternoon Tea at Prince of Wales, Niagara-on-the-Lake

Niagara-on-the-lake is a charming neighbourhood, located thirty minutes away from Niagara Falls, and two hours away from Toronto. It’s high up there on our list of summer getaways, and whenever we’re in town we always stop by the Prince of Wales Hotel for afternoon tea. Guests are seated in the drawing room while tea is served between 12pm to 6pm. Their scones are outstanding, and we can never have just one 😉 They are seriously the best scones we’ve ever had!

Flaky, buttery, and WARM raisin scones = a little taste of heaven. Yummmmmm! We shared 4 giant scones between the two of us, and we were definitely full.

Amazingly delicious strawberry spread from Greaves, a local company. Tea time wouldn’t be complete without this jam! Also clotted cream and butter for the scones.

We ordered the Traditional Afternoon Tea ($33 per person), and that included one pot of tea each plus the tier of sweets, scones, and sandwiches. However, on repeat occasions we have ordered a tea for each of us and simply two scones per person ($18 per person); we would recommend this arrangement more so than the first because the scones themselves are already very filling 🙂

Cheers,
