Bacchanal Buffet at Caesar’s Palace: Vegas

If you really enjoy seafood, then we highly recommend this place… crab legs galore! Our taxi attendant at Encore told us this was “the best buffet on the strip,” and also the newest buffet, so we just had to try it our (sorry Mr. Wynn)! The wait on a Saturday afternoon was a good hour long, and we almost narrowly missed the lunch pricing ($41.99 each), which ended at 3pm. Although the prices of the buffets in Vegas seem excessive, we feel you definitely get your money’s worth, and you actually spend less than you would have at one of the many other fancy restaurants in town.

Look at that line! The guy in front of us stared in disbelief as we estimated 45 mins to an hour wait time.

A really light and delicious strawberry and vanilla (with real vanilla beans) eclair plus a chai latte at Payard’s (from across the buffet), while we waited in line. You can say we had a few curious stares 🙂

Finally, we made it to the cash register! They gave us blue hot plate holders to protect our fingers. Very clever 🙂

The Chinese food station was the second most popular station next to the Alaskan King Crab station. I can honestly say that their xiao long baos (soup dumplings) were deliciously plump and juicy

The dessert station had a good variety of crepes, cakes, housemade marshmallows, tarts, ice cream, frozen japanese mochi etc.

Basically if you wanted a serving of fruit, you weren’t given a large selection – practically only what you see here. Although the seafood was excellent at this buffet, the fruits and veggies were something left to be desired.

Although the chef made the crepe for you, the topping station was DIY: strawberry sauce, caramel sauce, nutella sauce, frozen berries, and all the whipped cream you desired

And, of course, a piece of red velvet cake 🙂
