An NYC Anniversary!

It still feels surreal that just a few weekends ago we spent our first anniversary in NYC. Essentially Joseph surprised me with the trip, and even arranged for my parents to take care of Baby James (thanks mom and dad). We booked two nights at Langham Place on Fifth Ave. Lets just say that my husband is amazing, and I had the best sleep in a very long time. Complimentary … [Read more...]

Colette Grand Café Brunch, Toronto

We just had the most amazing Sunday brunch buffet at Colette Grand Café! Born from the same team who established The Chase, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Elegant, clean and bright, these are but a few words to describe the beautiful French restaurant. Even more worthy of mentioning is their excellent hospitality from the get-go. I don't think we've encountered a more pleasant … [Read more...]

What To Do In Vegas

We love Vegas, and truthfully even more so than Toronto. Which brings me to several questions we get asked time and time again: "Why Vegas? What do you do there? Don't you guys ever go anywhere else?!" In short, we LOVE it there! Vegas is like our second home, like a cottage, plus it's only a 4 hour flight away. Bouchon Again: Vegas

Hey guys! So we were just digging through our archives and found more pics of these Bouchon goodies from Vegas. Honestly, if you're anywhere near the Venetian hotel then we highly suggest you make the trip to this bakery. They actually have three different locations within the hotel, so it's very accessible for all those cravings. We hope these pictures do them justice because we're not … [Read more...]

Splendido for Brunch: Toronto

"The Spread" was a nice start to our morning: plain croissant, chocolate croissant, scone and bread accompanied by cheese, butter, whipped cream cheese, cured ham, terrine (similar to pate), pickles, olives, pickled radishes, … [Read more...]

Morels at Palazzo: Vegas

At Morels, the comfortable outdoor patio overlooking the north end of the strip makes this an ideal location for people watching. Of our 5 day trip, we spent 2 mornings enjoy breakfast at this restaurant: Day 1 Belgian Waffles with Fresh Berries and Housemade Vanilla Syrup We love waffles, pancakes, crepes and all that carby goodness, so Morels seemed like the … [Read more...]

Bouchon Bakery at Venetian: Vegas

Ahh Bouchon Bakery, where have you been all my life? I think this is one of the best kept secrets in the Venetian Hotel, tucked away underneath the stairwell in front of The Venetian Theatre. Words of advice: there is no seating area, but you can seat yourselves at the food court around the corner We always go back for the Strawberry Croissant, because it is just … [Read more...]
